Yale University’s Groups Walking Team met on Sunday, April 6, 2014 for the 10th AIDS Walk New Haven, the annual HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness event! Included on the team are the following affinity groups: Yale Veterans Network (YVN); Future Leaders of Yale (FLY); Yale African American Affinity Group (YAAA); Yale Latino Networking Group (YLNG); Working Women’s Network (WWN); Asian Network at Yale (ANY); and Yale Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) affinity group.
Over 125 families, friends, students, volunteers, teammates and co-workers come together to bring awareness to the AIDS epidemic in our community. Through the participation of hundreds of volunteers and walkers, this event has a proud four year tradition of helping to mobilize the community in the local fight against AIDS.
