Event description:
Fisher House CT is seeking participants for the 3rd Annual Dancing with Our Heroes, a competition in the vein of Dancing with the Stars, that raises money for the Fisher House Foundation at the West Haven VA. Fred Astaire Dance Studios is giving ten free lessons to each participant. The event is on 3/10 at the Mystic Marriott, and veterans plus one guest get free tickets to the banquet, free dinner, and if you want, access to a block of rooms at the hotel. DANCING WITH OUR HEROES 2018·MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2018
The Fred Astaire Dance Studios of New England and the Friends of the Fisher House CT are joining forces again to host the 3rd Dancing with our Heroes Gala and Competition on March 10th 2018 at the Mystic Marriott in Groton, CT.
Having raised over $260 000 in the past for the foundation, this event helped the Fisher House in CT break ground and be built to finally open it’s doors this year. The 3rd Gala and Competition will help support the operation of the House.
The Fred Astaire Dance Studios have paired with Heroes all over New England and are working on getting ready for their dance Competition March 10th as a part of the Gala evening.
A Hero, as defined for our event, is any member (active or retired) of the US Armed Services, or the spouse of a currently deployed member. We have found quite a few Heroes for our 2018 Gala, but we still need more. Do you know someone who fits the description who would like to participate? Please send us a message!
