Event Recap - 15th Annual AIDS Walk New Haven

Saturday, April 13, 2019

Saturday, April 13th was the 15th Annual AIDS Walk New Haven on the Green. AIDS Walk New Haven is a 5K walk to raise money to provide support services to individuals and families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the greater New Haven community. The goals are to raise money, increase public awareness, promote prevention through advocacy, and unite the Yale-New Haven community against stigma, apathy and infection. The $10K fundraising goal was exceeded by over $500! Yale University Affinity Groups came in first place, raising $1,603, with 75 participants.

100% of the proceeds will benefit local AIDS service organizations and community health centers, including: Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Liberty Community Services, New Reach, Leeway, Fair Haven Community Health Center, Cornell Scott Hill Health Center, Community Health Care Van, AIDS Project New Haven, Guardian Health, and the Yale Child Study Center.

Thank you to all of the event sponsors, walk registrants/participants, volunteers, donors, and fundraisers who contribute to the success of this event every year!
