Parenting Check-In

Join the Working Women’s Network and Yale Veterans Network for our monthly parenting check-in the second Wednesday of every month from 1:30-2:30 pm via Zoom. The check-ins serve as an opportunity for Yale community parents to check-in, share tips and tricks and concerns about our new normal of being parent(s), continued work responsibilities, and now the additional responsibility of homeschooling and managing the nuances of having babies and toddlers at home instead of daycare. The conversations are a safe space for us to positively communicate and learn and grow from each other.

Meet Shannon Polson

Join Yale Veterans Network and the Working Women’s Network in a discussion with Shannon Huffman Polson. Shannon is one of the first women to fly the Apache helicopter in the U.S. Army.
After serving in the armed services for a decade, Polson earned her MBA at the Tuck School at Dartmouth and has led outstanding teams in the corporate world at Microsoft.

Zoom is a video conferencing and virtual meeting software that can help you facilitate both meeting and events. Come and learn about the best practices and functionality embedded in the Zoom tool and ways in which to secure your meetings, events, trainings, etc.

Being resilient is a set of learnable skills. It’s not something that we either have or do not have as human beings. A major part of what helps us to be more resilient are some of our best qualities already within us - particularly our strengths of gratitude, kindness, and hope.
